Convincing proof of where we are headed

If you are not convinced by now that we should be spending the majority of our time developing new media projects you are sadly mistaken.

If you are a broadcast veteran you must now begin to develop your online presence as a brand and as an entity to yourself, or you will be behind the eight ball in years to come. The time is now to develop new media projects. Just look at how the Internet is surpassing all other media in advertising.

If you look at I heart radio for example, I remember driving  in Charlotte listening to 102.9 The Lake, and on that radio station they were telling the audience in Charlotte to go to the I heart radio app and listen to any radio station that fits the mood that you are in. I said to myself when a company could care less whether you listen to their terrestrial signal in that city that should be a big clue for the rest of us to know that radio as we have known it is moving in another direction, quick fast and a hurry, and I am saying to all of my Urban Radio comrades that we all better get busy or be left out looking for a jobs that do not exist!

The brand is YOU!
