Prep Wins in the Dark (The 3am Advantage)

Everyone hears the punchline at 8am. Nobody sees the drafts at 3am

Shows don’t win on-air—they win in the quiet hours before air. The difference between “I kinda agree” and “Man, I was thinking the same thing!” is prep. Prep that sharpens your angle so your take stance in the world. You cut through the noise.

At 3am, the world is off. Just you, a blank page, and a question: What is the most honest angle I can bring to this story?

That’s where originality lives.

5,000 Podcasts. 3,000 Episodes a Week. $1 Cost Per Episode — Behind an AI Start Up’s Plan

AI Hosts Are Being Turned Into Fake “Experts” & “Influencers”

I came across this article in The Hollywood Reporter (link here) about an AI company pumping out 5,000 podcasts, 3,000 episodes a week, at a cost of just one dollar per episode.

Now listen—there are people every single day trying to find new ways to scale in this podcasting game. And if we’re not careful, we’ll get left behind. The truth is, there are no rules in podcasting. No idea is off the table. The only limit is your imagination.

When I saw this article, I said to myself, “Oh my God, people are really pushing the limits.” Here’s what they’re doing:

  • Flooding the zone: 5,000 shows, 3,000 new episodes weekly. It’s not about originality—it’s about volume and search engine traffic.

  • Cheap to produce: $1 per episode. Just 20 listens can cover costs because the ad money kicks in.

  • AI hosts: Fake “experts” in food, gardening, sports—personalities that can be cloned, scaled, and marketed as influencers.

  • SEO-driven content: Shows with names like Whales or Pollen Report just to ride trends.

  • Test at scale: Launch five versions of the same show with different titles, see what works, then double down.

  • Cross-media hustle: Start with podcasts, then move to social clips, short-form video, and influencer branding.

That’s not creativity—that’s a content factory. Automated. Soulless. Scaled up with no heart, no human touch.

So what do we do?

We flip the script.

  • Less is more. Quality + trust beats quantity + noise.

  • Position human shows as premium. Nobody can replicate your lived experience.

  • Lean into connection. History, mentorship, real stories—that’s what sticks.

  • Be the trusted voice in the chaos. People want guidance, not noise.

  • Own community storytelling. AI can’t touch it.

  • Remember: AI can scale quantity, but only you can scale trust.

At the end of the day, only a living, breathing soul can truly connect with another one. And that, my friends, is the real advantage.

The Deep Connection We Are Longing For

The deep connection we long for with others is built on a series of silent agreements. How many great things—big and subtle—do we share in common that allow us to say “yes” to each other? That “yes” creates trust. And trust is the glue that bonds us together, sometimes in an instant. It only takes a microsecond to feel safe enough to be vulnerable in the presence of sameness. The vibration matches. The frequency tunes perfectly. And suddenly, the bond is like a favorite song you never get tired of hearing. Human connection is sacred. To find a bleeding heart, a spirit full of humility, and a soul that shows genuine gratitude—that’s what we all want. To be loved back by the people you love is the most beautiful thing. This is the experience I chase every time I open the mic. I’m speaking to the people I love. I’m sending love in the pitch of my voice. You can hear it in my throat, moving like spiritual electricity, searching for the hearts that are ready to receive it. What I offer can only be received by those tuned to the same frequency. And when they hear it, they know. I am me. You are you. The only way to connect with those who are searching for me is to show up fully as myself—every single time I speak. The truth of who I am is a homing device, calling out to my tribe scattered across the universe. They may not know me yet, but when they finally hear me, they’ll know: I belong to them.

You Are a Frequency

You in your person, are a frequency. You are a human antenna, and you are constantly transmitting to the world who you are. You are a walking radio station. When I am on the air I am aware of what kind of vibe I am sending out to my audience. What kind of energy am I sending to them from my heart. When they hear my voice what are you picking up? What response am I hoping for with every word that is coming from my mouth. What spirit are they picking up from me? As we are beings made of electricity, what energy are the people listening to me picking up? Now this does not mean that everyone will like you and what your energy is about. Some people will repel you just because they may not be on the level you are transmitting on. People do have preferences and thats ok. Always be yourself and you will attract your tribe. I always feel in my heart that the people I am looking for are also looking for me. This is whay I am so happy that I am learning how to be myself everyday on air. After 41 years in broadcasting, I am still striving to be truthful in my speech always. I'm telling you it takes along time to really be your truthful self on the air. For years alot of us have been characters of who we are. You've got make a decision that you are gonna just let it go and say things on air the way you want to say it, and not what you think someone is expecting
you to say. Being original is being you. Stop being generic and say things from the heart ❤️. This is the only way you will transmit the frequency of connection.
